"AMATEURS PRACTICE UNTIL THEY GET IT RIGHT. PROFESSIONALS PRACTICE UNTIL THEY CAN'T GET IT WRONG."
DRESS CODE
Dancers are required to wear the appropriate dance attire to every class and rehearsal. Failure to comply with the dress code will lead to ejection from rehearsals and classes. Please see below for the proper dance attire for each class.
STUDIO RULES

Please carefully read our studio rules. These rules are put in place to enhance the quality of each student's learning experience. Please do not ask to alter or change any rule for any reason. Failure to follow our studio rules can result in dismissal of any class, rehearsal and group. Please note that when you register you agree to follow all studio rules and regulations below. Thank you.
-
There are absolutely no parents or visitors allowed in the studio during rehearsals and regularly scheduled classes. *Only exception to this rule is our Pre-K/ Combo classes. Students under the age of four years old are allowed to have one parent observe, however we strongly discourage this. Students tend to work better when their parent is not preset. Parents will be able to see their child’s progress through our social platforms and through our NEW Dance Parent Portal.
-
Students are required to be respectful to their teachers as well as other students in the class or group. Failure to demonstrate proper respectful behavior will result in a phone call to the parent as well as dismissal from the group.
-
Students are required to practice regularly, not only to enhance their skills, but to remain on the same level as other students in the group. Dance is a team activity. If one student is not doing their part, they will be asked to sit for performances. *Please note that notice will be to the parent in advance through our new feature: The Dance Parent Portal. This will let the parent know what areas each student needs to work on.
-
Parents are required to check the parent portal regularly to see their child’s progress. The parent portal will let you know when a class is cancelled due to an emergency, inclement weather, etc.
-
Parents are not permitted to record other students without permission from that student’s parent.
-
By signing off on your registration, you are agreeing to allow Plenty of Rhythm to take pictures of your child for promotional and learning purposes only.
-
Bullying of any sort from a parent or student will not be tolerated. Any online or in person bullying will result in dismissal from the school. Students will be forewarned if there are any issues that arise.
-
Parents: It is RUDE to suggest choreography of any sort to your teacher/choreographer. The teacher/choreographer will teach the appropriate choreography for each child/class.
-
Dancers MUST follow the dress code. Students should never attend class in street clothing. Street clothing limits the dancers ability to move. Dancers must wear the proper hairstyles to class to ensure that they are able to move their bodies appropriately for the styles. For example: If a dancer is wearing multiple ponytails when they should have one, they will not be able to learn to turn properly.
-
If a child will be absent from class please notify the teacher through the parent portal. NOT BY PHONE CALL OR TEXT
-
If you wish to speak with the teacher please schedule an appointment to express your concerns, not during or after class time.
-
Students will be given opportunities to use the restroom before and between classes. Students will not be allowed to walk in and out the classroom to use the bathroom. This is very disruptive to the lesson and to other students participating.
-
NO CELL PHONE usage should be used during rehearsal or class time, unless permitted by the teacher.
-
Students are permitted to have a make-up class if they miss their scheduled class. This means that any class that is missed because of a personal reason can be made up by taking a class on another day.
-
Parents are strictly prohibited from sharing any routines that a student has learned from Plenty of Rhythm. All choreography that is taught at our studio shall remain the knowledge of its members.
-
Parents are expected to participate in their child's dance life. We ask that you continue to support your child through their journey. If a parent is not actively participating, the director will request a meeting to improve the expectation.
-
Parents and visitors of performances will be asked to respect our rules. If we see that a particular group does not respect the rules of our studio, they will be asked to leave the performance.
*We understand that on rare occasions, an exception to the rule may apply. We strongly ask that you do not ask for any exceptions or special treatment. These types of requests will likely be denied. Thank you.
